Since the initial advisement of COVID-19, Epping Private Hospital has been continually developing its COVID-19 preparedness and is now enforcing an action plan aimed at protecting the community with regard to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in line with State and Australian Government advisements.
We are focused on protecting patients and staff. With screening for all entering the hospital and reduced and restricted visiting hours to apply from 18/03/2020.
Commencing from 18/03/2020, the following Visitor Restrictions will apply:
- A maximum of two visitors (at same time) are permitted to visit.
- All visitors will be screened at entry to the hospital before access is granted to the hospital.
- Infection control and hand hygiene policies enforced.
While coronavirus is of concern, it is important to remember that most people displaying symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or tiredness are likely suffering with a cold or other respiratory illness—not coronavirus.
